What to Expect at the Center

The Center Office

When you first contact the center, a staff member will take some general information including contact information and a general description of the concern. The staff member will then schedule you for an initial appointment.

During the initial appointment, also known as an intake, a center counselor will gather more detailed information including personal history, the reason(s) for seeking counseling at this particular time, and your goals for counseling.

Once this appointment is completed, counseling center staff will review the information and connect you with the counselor that should be the best fit for your individual concerns.

You will then be contacted by that particular counselor and will schedule appointments with him or her as long as you see fit.
